Carlos996 Publicado 3 de Octubre del 2009 Reportar Publicado 3 de Octubre del 2009 Thanks I'm fine!!Spectre isn't used in Austria/Germany/Switzerland and I think there won't be in the near future. Thankfully RD isn't a big topic in our country and the official opinion of the police is, that they don't work. Anyway I'm getting rid of my 966R and replace it with an STI-R. Due to increasing K-Band radars, I need something which can handle false alarms (muting, Citiy-Mode...). Also the STI-R is discontinued and unfortunately there isn't another remote model which has such a good Ka performance like the STI-R. But I will miss the 966R. It did a great job!! Good to hear about RDD up there. We don't have many K band radars here but as far as I heard, STi-R and STiDrivers do the best job against the low powered K-band euro radar like the Multaradar C, but the STiDriver has no narrow Ka band and in turn sucsk at Ka Multanovas and the like. Also the Stinger DSI is supposed to be very good as well for K-band, but much more expensive, so the STi-R seems like the best choice for you IMO as well. Unfortunately there is a new device in planning called ESO ES3.0, which is a so called light barrier. So no detection for RDs. I know what those are like, we have asimilar devide here that works on the same principle, the Autovelox 105SE, not good news. Did anyone of you test the new Escort Redline or the Escort 9500ci so far?? Escort makes detectors only intended for the North American market so they are all Superwide Ka band without posibility of configuring the Ka band to narrow segments like the Bel Sti-R, so they perform very poorly agains european Ka radars like the Multanova. Escort and Beltronics are the same company and basically the Escort 9500ci is a Bel Sti-R with Escort's own software for US and that is were the selectable Ka bands dissapear, same story with the Redline. So not recomended for Europe if you have Ka radars in your country, the Beltronics version is much better because its intended for US and Europe as well through configuration. Citar
elbandido2003 Publicado 4 de Octubre del 2009 Reportar Publicado 4 de Octubre del 2009 Unfortunately there is a new device in planning called ESO ES3.0, which is a so called light barrier. So no detection for RDs. Not funny to hear that. Those laser barrier radars are slayers...the good thing is that they can only be used in stationary spots but they can be easily hidden. Stinger has developed a device to jam the autovelox 105 which is italian made. We don't know if it's works with ESO ES3.0. About Escort, as our guru Carlos said, this brand is focuss on the north american market so they normally use Ka-Wide band. The performace of this kind of RD is very poor with multanova 6F. Good to hear that RDD are not used in Central Europe. See you!! Citar
60seconds Publicado 4 de Octubre del 2009 Reportar Publicado 4 de Octubre del 2009 Stinger has developed a device to jam the autovelox 105 which is italian made. Really? Can you give me more information about that device or a link? I couldn't find anything on the stinger HP. There is also a "jamming device" for the ESO in development from a german group. The testresults look promising. Citar
elbandido2003 Publicado 4 de Octubre del 2009 Reportar Publicado 4 de Octubre del 2009 There is not many info around in the net, but basically it is a device fixed in the front of the car and connected to the DSI Computer. It works but it's very expensive between 1200-1500 euros. Todoradares started to develop their own one a few months ago but actually the team is waiting to see what the new spanish law says about jammers and that stuff. The law-project had a proposal of a 6000 euros fine for using this stuff so... There were an extraordinary emphasys not showing the device in internet to difficcult the work of the traffic authorities. Try google.es maybe you find some info. Cheers Citar
