I do not know if among you, you are aware of the release of the new generation of valentine one.

According to tests, it was more efficient and had fewer false alarms and it works in a bluetooth.

Here are the characteristics of the new model:

Of course in the USA the performances are top but in Europe it is another pair of innings.

Habrá que probarlo pero no tiene muy buena pinta contra MultaradarCD...

 

 

Si dicen que no se usa en EEUU (lo cual no es cierto, hay estados donde sí) no habrán dedicado muchos esfuerzos a su detección. Se han centrado mucho más en aumentar la detección en banda KA (cuando allí emiten con muchísima potencia) y eliminar las falsas alarmas de la banda K normal de gasolineras, puertas automáticas.... (tienes radares en banda K normal).

 

Además, en el análisis de Vortex:

 

 

No tiene GPS integrado (por tanto no hay avisos de radares fijos, semáforo...), o lo usas con un móvil o pierdes muchas funcionalidades, no tiene detección de MRCD/MRCT y configurarlo es un horror...

 

Le dan mucho énfasis y han centrado mucho el desarrollo a las flechas porque allí el radar se te puede acercar por detrás y medirte (cosa que en España no) por lo que tampoco es algo útil.

 

 

Para Estados Unidos irá increíble pero para Europa no creo que valga ni funcione correctamente (menos aún en España).

Y, para colmo, es 40€ más caro que un Genevo MAX....

Indeed, I had not paid attention on the gps which did not integrate into it a huge error on that part. Who today has no gps integrated in a high-end DDR. In Europe it will not be a DDR which is very effective to see a ball. Thanks for the conclusion

Justo el otro día recibí un correo de Mike Valentine para actualizar el Gen1 a Gen2 en su programa de actualización.

 

Llevo algunos años desconectado del mundillo ya que vendí todo lo que tenía, la verdad es que esperaba más de esta nueva versión, como la detección de multaradar (que tarde o temprano tendrá, ya que en América sí hay multaradar y similares), o GPS (aunque Mike está en contra del GPS, es una decisión que le quita ventas).

 

Tiene algunas cosas interesantes heredadas del V1, como la capacidad crear tus propias aplicaciones para el móvil, en su día vi cosas interesantes como un analizador de espectro o un mapa en el que se marcaban las intensidades de los radares y alguna cosa más. Aunque esto es más bien para los frikis, que para el usuario de a pié.

 

Por cierto, acabo de ver que hay un nuevo Genevo, Genevo Max, ya no estoy al día...
